Leidenfrost Vineyards Logo

Hector

Since 1947, the Leidenfrost family has grown grapes on a picturesque lakeside farm in Hector, New York, in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region.

The Tasting Room first opened for business in 1990 and Leidenfrost Vineyards was one of the first Finger Lakes wineries to offer a wide selection of estate-grown dry red wines, including Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. They also make bright, refreshing whites and juicy sweets with an emphasis on drinkability.

A high level of quality and individual attention to detail is integral to owner John and his daughter and winemaker, Liz, and each wine is hand crafted in small batches to reflect the unique personality of each vintage.

Every aspect of the business is done in-house, from growing and processing the grapes, to fermenting and aging the wine, as well as bottling, labeling, and sales. In fact, most of the wine produced is sold directly out the front door in-person!

Today, Leidenfrost Vineyards intentionally remains a small, family owned and operated business, with a focus on producing unique and delicious small-batch wines made from 100% Estate-grown grapes.
